Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

You will be collected from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha and transferred to Tarangire National Park via Arusha. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours, providing an opportunity to relax and acquaint yourself with your Savannah Experts Adventure guide. Upon arrival, you will embark on a 4-5 hour game drive within the park, renowned for its large elephant population and expansive baobab trees. Other wildlife such as giraffes, antelopes, lions, and cheetahs may also be observed, though sightings are not guaranteed. Lunch will be provided during the day; however, please be cautious of the local vervet monkeys, which are known for their mischievous behavior, especially around food. Around 4:00 p.m., we will depart the park and proceed to Haven Nature Safari Camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater

Begin the day early as you travel to the Ngorongoro Crater, recognized as one of Africa’s New Seven Natural Wonders. This spectacular crater not only offers stunning vistas but also supports a diverse population of over 25,000 wild animals. You may have the opportunity to observe the Big Five. Estimates indicate approximately 7,000 wildebeest, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 eland, 3,000 gazelles, 600 hyenas, 200-300 elephants, over 60 lions, 30 rhinos, among others inhabit this area. The crater measures about 610 meters in depth and spans 260 square kilometers, providing ample wildlife viewing opportunities. After a 4-5 hour game drive, you will return to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha or proceed to your onward flight.
