Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

You will be collected from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha and transferred to Tarangire National Park via Arusha. The drive will take approximately 4-5 hours; relax and familiarize yourself with your Savannah Experts Adventure guide. Upon arrival, enjoy a 4-5 hour game drive within the park, famed for its large elephant populations and scattered baobab trees. Other wildlife such as giraffes, antelopes, lions, and cheetahs may also be observed, though sightings cannot be guaranteed. Lunch will be provided during the day; please be mindful of the local vervet monkeys, which, despite their charming appearance, are known to be mischievous, especially around food. Around 4:00 pm, depart the park and proceed to Haven Nature Safari Camp for dinner and your first overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

Begin Day 2 with an early start at approximately 7:00 am as you depart for Serengeti National Park. En route, you will pass a traditional Maasai Boma, offering insight into the Maasai people's way of life. Arriving at the Serengeti around noon, spend the afternoon exploring its renowned endless plains in pursuit of the spectacular Great Migration. After your game drive, transfer to your tented camp or lodge for overnight accommodation.

Days 3 & 4: Serengeti National Park

Spend the next two days discovering the diverse array of mammals, birds, and reptiles inhabiting the park, complemented by breathtaking landscapes and sunsets. Each evening, return to your tented camp or lodge to enjoy a hot meal and relax among fellow travelers.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

Commence the day early as you journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s New Seven Natural Wonders. This remarkable site offers stunning scenery and is home to over 25,000 wild animals, including the Big Five. Wildlife estimates include approximately 7,000 wildebeest, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 eland, 3,000 gazelles, 600 hyenas, 200-300 elephants, over 60 lions, 30 rhinos, among others, all within a 610-meter deep and 260 square kilometer crater. Ensure your camera is fully charged to capture these incredible sights. Following lunch, you will be transported back to Moshi or Arusha, or to the airport, with a stop at local shops for souvenir shopping.
