The journey commences at Tarangire National Park, where you will encounter diverse wildlife and the iconic Baobab trees, alongside visits to traditional Maasai villages near the park entrance.
Subsequently, you will explore Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its dense forests and picturesque water bodies inhabited by a wide variety of bird species. Be sure to watch for the distinctive tree-climbing lions and other extraordinary animals.
The tour concludes at the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic crater, home to the Big Five and numerous other species.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with a hotel pickup in Moshi or Arusha, followed by a scenic 4-5 hour drive to Tarangire National Park via Arusha. Relax and acquaint yourself with your Savannah Experts Adventure guide en route. Upon arrival, you will spend 4-5 hours exploring the park, famed for its large elephant population and majestic scattered baobab trees. You may also encounter giraffes, antelopes, lions, and cheetahs, though sightings are not guaranteed. Lunch will be provided during the day. Please note that local vervet monkeys, while charming, can be mischievous—particularly around food—so please secure your meals carefully. Around 4:00 pm, we will exit the park and proceed to Haven Nature Safari Camp for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater
Depart early for the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s New Seven Natural Wonders. This breathtaking crater is home to over 25,000 wild animals, including the Big Five. Wildlife estimates include approximately 7,000 wildebeest, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 eland, 3,000 gazelles, 600 hyenas, 200-300 elephants, over 60 lions, and 30 rhinos. The crater spans 260 square kilometers and descends about 610 meters, offering extensive opportunities for wildlife viewing. After a 4-5 hour game drive, we will return to Haven Nature Safari Camp for dinner and an overnight stay beneath the stars.

Day 3: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara National Park
On the final day, we visit Lake Manyara National Park, a smaller yet often overlooked gem. This pristine sanctuary features groundwater-fed forests and abundant wildlife, including elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and some of Africa’s largest baboon troops. The park is also renowned for its spectacular birdlife, hosting over 100 species year-round. Keep an eye above and below as lions are known to rest high in the trees here. Departing at 7:00 am, you will enjoy a morning game drive before returning to Moshi or the airport around noon.
